Our Swimming Pool Projects Across Dubai: A Look at What We’ve Built
Every swimming pool project has its own character. Some are designed around entertaining guests, some are created as a private place to relax, while others become the centrepiece of an entire villa landscape. As swimming pool contractor in Dubai, we have worked on different types of pool projects across Dubai, each planned around the property, the client’s preferences and the way the outdoor space would be used.
Our completed projects in Umm Al Shief, Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Hills Estate show how different pool designs can be combined with landscaping, water features, pergolas, outdoor lighting and other details to create a complete outdoor setting.
An Overflow Pool With Jacuzzi in Umm Al Shief
The Umm Al Shief project is one of the more detailed pool and landscape projects we have completed. It features a 14m x 5m overflow pool with an inbuilt jacuzzi, with the pool depth ranging from 0.9m to 1.5m.
The finishing was an important part of the design. Three different Sukabhumi tile patterns in an emerald green shade were selected by the client. The tiles were 10x30cm in size and helped give the pool a distinctive appearance. Four interlinked water features were also installed, with a fire feature positioned on top.
The pool was designed as part of a much larger outdoor area. We installed a fire pit bowl and water feature, along with a CNC cut pergola containing a BBQ counter. A wooden gazebo provided a dedicated sitting area.
The central pathway followed a zigzag pattern and featured RBS between three Washingtonia palms on each side. Step fountains were placed on both sides of the main entrance, with a wooden pergola above them.
The natural grass area also included a wall water feature at its centre. A closed roof pergola was added for parking, while custom outdoor lights and an automatic irrigation system completed the landscape.
This project took five months to complete.
An Elevated L Shaped Pool in Palm Jumeirah

At Palma, Palm Jumeirah, we created an elevated L shaped skimmer pool measuring 12m x 3.5m, with a depth of 1.5m.
The pool features white marble coping and custom handmade mosaic tiles. The mosaic design includes dolphins and turtles in a floating pattern, giving the pool a more personal and decorative finish.
The project also included a heater chiller system, natural grass and an automatic irrigation system. The elevated L shaped design was chosen to work with the surrounding villa landscape while keeping the pool visually distinctive.
The project was completed in three months.
When planning a pool for a Dubai villa, the shape and features should work with the property rather than being treated as separate decisions. This is also why we believe custom planning matters. You can read more about this in our guide on why custom swimming pools are a must for a Dubai villa.
A Pool With Integrated Jacuzzi at Dubai Hills Estate
At Sidra 1 in Dubai Hills Estate, we completed a skimmer pool with an interlinked jacuzzi. The pool measures 6m x 3m, while the jacuzzi measures 2m x 2m. The pool depth ranges from 0.9m to 1.6m.
One of the notable features of this project is the interlinked water filtration system used for both the jacuzzi and pool. Stepping tiles were placed between the two areas, creating a practical connection while also adding visual interest.
The pool uses three different patterned Sukabhumi tile finishes, with the tiles measuring 30x60cm.
The surrounding landscape was designed to make the pool part of a larger outdoor living area. WPC decking was installed around both the pool and jacuzzi. We also created a pergola with a rain curtain fountain and added a custom BBQ counter with a pergola.
An elevated dining area was created with a closed roof pergola. The area was surrounded by a floor water fountain and included floating steps. Floor tiling, custom outdoor lights, plantation and planter boxes were also included, along with an automatic irrigation system.
The entire project took four months.
An Elevated Overflow Pool at Golf Place
Our fourth project was completed at Golf Place, Dubai Hills Estate. Here, we built an 8.5m x 4m overflow pool with a depth ranging from 1.2m to 1.5m.
The pool has an elevated overflow edge compared with the surrounding surface, giving it a clearly defined appearance. A mosaic finish was used for the pool, along with a mini diving board and a Cobra water fountain.
The surrounding area was developed to complement the pool. Floor tiling, an aluminium pergola and a custom BBQ counter were installed. Custom outdoor lighting helped complete the evening setting, while a custom automatic irrigation system was added to support the plantation around the area.
This project was completed in three and a half months.
What These Projects Tell Us About Pool Design
Looking at these four projects together, one thing becomes clear. A swimming pool does not have to stand alone.
The Umm Al Shief project combines the pool with a jacuzzi, fire feature, water features, pergolas, a gazebo, pathways, palms, fountains, lighting and irrigation. The Palm Jumeirah project takes a more focused approach with an elevated L shaped pool, handmade mosaic detailing, natural grass and climate control through a heater chiller.
The Sidra 1 project brings the pool and jacuzzi together with decking, dining, BBQ facilities, fountains and pergolas. At Golf Place, the elevated overflow edge, mosaic finish, diving board and Cobra water fountain create a different look.
This variety is important because every Dubai villa has a different layout. A pool that works well in one property may not suit another. The size, shape, depth, finishing, surrounding landscape and outdoor features all need to work together.
At Pines Landscaping, we approach pool projects with this in mind. Our work is not only about installing a pool. It is about creating an outdoor space where the pool feels like a natural part of the property.
Planning Your Own Pool Project
A good pool project starts with understanding how you want to use the space. Do you want a quiet area for relaxing? A place for family gatherings? A pool with a jacuzzi? Or a complete outdoor entertainment area with a BBQ counter, pergola, lighting and landscaping?
The projects we have completed across Dubai show that there are many ways to approach the design. From an emerald green Sukabhumi tile finish and interlinked water features in Umm Al Shief to handmade dolphin and turtle mosaics in Palm Jumeirah, every project can have its own identity.
